Abstract

ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot that uses a large language model to generate novel answers to user prompts. The documentation and communication of pathology results following resection of polyps found during colonoscopy is one of the most common tasks performed by practicing gastroenterologists. Leveraging ChatGPT to generate these letters is a logical first step toward real-world adoption. Initial results of using ChatGPT for generating patient pathology result letters shows promise. However, there are many concerns with incorporating this technology in its current iteration.
